welcome to the club, sistah. ::hugs:: i've been here in the Laid Off Lounge for over 2.5 years now. hopefully you can find a seat -- there are more and more people here everydamn day. we do have some rules here, though:

1. it's Not Your Fault, so don't blame yourself. blame corporate greed, the economy, Bush, scared investors, Bush, rotten timing for your industry... oh, and Bush. YOU had Nothing To Do with getting laid off.
   
   
2. Unemployment Insurance is there for YOU. use it. apply early, apply often. it's the company's money, not yours -- you basically earned it.
   
   
3. give yourself a bit of a break before job-hunting again. take a breather, reassess your career options, putter around the house, allow yourself to mourn and rage and decompress. then you'll be able to start the job hunt with a clean mental slate.
