Okay, meinen invisible friends. I did family on Monday, and client friends on Tuesday - tonight, I hope to 1. go grocery shopping for last minute needs (lasagna makin' and ham, mostly) 2. make sugar cookies before my bear cries any more at the lack of cookieage and 3. send out my invisible friend cards! Not that you're last in my heart, but this year it's easier to keep my 3 databases seperate. Next year, they'll all be one and it will be much easier !

So! If you'd like a card, give me your address. I'm fairly certain I may have it for a number of you (TH peoples especially), but give it to me anyway. Please?

And if you want to send us one, it's:

CJ & Deb Tabor
5037 N Concord
Portland OR 97217

Comments screened for you, of course; I've already got my address out there online anyway :)

I watched a guy die on the old 5-Interstate. At first everyone thought he was snoring, but we figured out that wasn't the case pretty quickly. I signed up for CPR the next day, although knowing what killed him (I checked his obituary) it wouldn't have done any good.

Just a note to say - having a numb eyelid feels weird. Really weird.

eta: eyelid still numb, tooth screaming. boo novacaine.

In four minutes, it will be okay to play Christmas music - so here, I'm a few minutes early! We're looking at videos of other people's holiday lights set to music, too, and by god I know what we're doing tomorrow morning! Yay for lightshows!

Would any of my flist be interested in a craft swap? I have beads and yarn I hate to toss but know I'll probably never use; maybe you would like them?

[livejournal.com profile] malindalrose was playing that icon meme, so I thought I would play too. If you'd like me to ask you about your pictures, or ask about others of mine, comment! :)

She asked to get info on:

and are both macros I found hilariously funny, for some reason. I use Bat Country for macro posting, when I do it which is rare now, and Why Won't You Die I had planned to use for particularly annoying / ranty posts but I don't like the way it turned out enough to use it.

was made specifically for Symposium, when people realized that this look of Lenore's is the EXACT look I tried so hard not to give. I often failed.

This is Chicken, the most brilliant cat of darlin' Hothead. Chicken makes me smile; I use him for happy stuff or cat stuff.

I have a thing for images of the BVM, especially ones which strike me as different. There is something so vibrant about this image of Her, so very alive.

Yet another image for which I had great hopes for days which just weren't going properly, Mercury retrograde sorts of days. Thursdays, you know? If you can't read it, it says "Today is under construction. Thank you for understanding."

I just adore the look on Snape's face.

Hello, friends! Would someone out there with TIVO - for whom is is not already after 6.30 pm - be willing to download and send me tonight's 6.30 cast of the CBS Evening News? The non-profit I work for part-time, the Berry Botanic Garden, will be on tonight, and we'd love to keep it for posterity!

Just a quick shot of Depoe Bay's coastline, playing with the newly discovered video capability of the camera.

I have a huge lust for one of these babies. If anyone has an extra $15k lying around and loves me...or CJ, it is her 50th birthday coming up after all!

I made an big cut today, I am sorry to say. I just have got to organize myself better, and cutting back here is a step to doing that. If you desperately want back on, or you really think this is a great opportunity to cut out, just let me know.

I'm thinking 50 books won't happen this year either, but I heard on the radio today that 1 in 4 people haven't read a SINGLE BOOK in the last year. I'm doing a little better than that.

1-19 )

20. The Hot Zone; Richard Preston

Scary. Now I know where Stephen King got the idea for Captain Trips, baby. Ebola flu, doesn't that sound fun? And it's already been here once!

21. Typhoid Mary; Anthony Bourdain

The really cool thing about this short and sweet little story is that I can hear AB talking.

22. Mapping the World of Harry Potter: An Unauthorized Exploration of the Bestselling Fantasy Series of All Time; Mercedes Lackey, editor

Two of the essays delved so far into fanfiction rather than critical review that I didn't bother to read them, but the rest were actually interesting.

You remember the swimming/mp3 post a while ago? So far, I've listened to a history podcast (now I know all about the Children's Blizzard) and put on some of my own music, but I would love suggestions.

Keep in mind that I love everything from bluegrass to pop to industrial to classical to showtunes...in otherwords, ANYTHING. I just want it to say "hey, get off your fat ass and get moving!"

Bands good, songs better!

Could one of you lovely peoples direct me to a design review site or community, or review this one for me? I've been looking at it too much and I see EVERYTHING wrong with it, I need fresh eyeballs.
