Mar. 29th, 2003 11:15 amTook the day off yesterday and went to the ocean with CJ, Kels and
alphaskye. It was much needed restfulness - just to get out of the house, away from the war, away from the computer. We had the cel with us, so if Shannon needs she can call. She has started having contractions and the baby dropped a little bit after her dr appt Monday - she is not waiting until the 12th, uh uh.
Anyway - it was a lovely day for the beach, not too windy, not too cold. We went to the Aquarium. CJ & I had never been, but I did love it! The tunnels with the fish flying all around you - under your feet, over your head! And I discovered that I think seahorses are about the coolest looking things ever, and that otters, sea otters, are much bigger than I thought! And that moon jellies are very soothing jellyfish.
Then we found a neat little hole-in-the-wall place to eat, and shopped, and got on the beach in time to watch the sunset, and were home by 11 pm. A lovely day!
Today is supposed to be in the mid-high 60s today, I have stuff to run to the post office for eBay and then maybe we'll work in the yard.
