The arrival of Ruby has wiped me right out - I fell asleep last night at 10.30. I thought I had wasted the evening, but CJ pointed out that I did: clean up the kitchen, make cocoa, cut the board for her shelf, get the garbage out, and go through the mail basket and file stuff from last March on. So I guess the night wasn't a complete loss.
Tonight: getting CJ's shelf up if she paints it today, Buffy, and maybe taking some eBay pictures. That is, if I don't fall asleep first.
I heard red-winged blackbirds at the Sunset on-ramp last week. I love their song so much, it's like liquid.
