sageandseaSince CJ is online with the kid, I can do a little longer update!
The flights were uneventful, even going back and forth through security a zillion times so we could smoke. You know, if each airport would put a smoking cage in the terminals, they'd save a hell of a lot of time getting people through security. Just a thought. We got in at about 530, zoomed to the hotel, and headed out to find Aaron, which didn't take long - just had to remember where the Corner Pocket was. Didn't get to see the City Park lights, but did see quite a few others, and got a picture which was good, because they were down the next day.
Since then we've mostly been eating and shopping and taking pictures. We spent hours in Lafayette I taking color and b&w pics, hopefully some of them will actually come out well.
Poor girlfriend is online with Shannon, finally, but the kid won't tell her where she is so we can go up and see her. Claims that they need to be looking for work, which is true, I'm sure, since they're broke, but still frustrating for CJ. Hey, we've got cash, I don't mind driving up to 'bama!
I love being on vacation, even if I have been checking work mail daily....but I miss my kitties! And my own bed!
