Aug. 1st, 2005 02:21 pmFun, quiet weekend, without too much added drama. Nice. The kitten has a name now - Gus. Many many Arnold Palmers were drunk - I think we were at Shari's every night this weekend.
Saturday was teh very very hot company picnic, where I managed to provide hawaiian shirts and then had to be pulled off into the shade by CJ as I was turning that odd color. Damned not sweating properly.
We entered the (very very sad) Multnomah County Fair on Thursday, then waited until Sunday to go see if we won. We waited too long, apparently - when we got there just after 6 pm, ready to eat corn dogs and let Zing go on his first ride, they were shutting stuff down, three hours early. Bah. There's always Clark County next week.
Every one of us won, though - CJ got 2nd place for her scones, and I got two 3rds, one for the photo posted below and one for my Anaheim chiles. Zing got a 2nd (like he cares) and Shannon, well Shannon not only got the blue for her Phantom Barbie piece, she won the Best Art Doll premium ($30 gift certificate and a bead/ribbon store downtown). I am really pleased to be able to encourage her in that direction - her art dolls are very good, better even than her watercolors.
