An update from my poll last week ~ while "communists have invaded the summerhouse" is a personal favorite, followed by "riding the cotton pony," I must know - ijk, dreadpiratetait, where in the world does "killing bees" come from???

It's one of the old wives' tales. menstuating women were supposed to be lethal to bees, and ought not to care for them at that time. I believe there were similar ideas around fermantation and mybe even bread.
