Nov. 3rd, 2004 09:20 amHere's my post-dumping day of wallowing in horror and fear...followed up by getting the hell over it and picking up the pieces.
1.
misia said it far better than I could - I am just SICK that Kerry conceded. They promised they would count every vote, and every vote would count, and he QUIT!
2. One of the bosses came in this morning singing "it's a lovely day." The entire aisle next to me growled at him.
I've seen a lot of "moving out of country" on my flist. I'm not fucking going anywhere. This is my home, my family, my friends, and by god, 55,096,582 people voted for Kerry, not Bush. There is a part of me that thinks...perhaps Comedy Central wasn't so far off, when a commercial seque last night was "Which side of the Civil War will you be on?" We are so evenly divided as a nation, that it seems we might as well be two seperate nations. Move all the reds south, the blues north. Elect two presidents. Something has to give, and I'm not sure what it will be.
Life goes on.
