You know those political "are you voting for X or Y" calls y'all are getting? I'm not gettin' any. Not once has my phone rung this week with someone asking if I was voting Yes on 36, or if they could count on my vote for W, and I really really wish it would.

I never get jury duty either.

Bitches.

We got a stupid flyer in the mail about voting Yes on 36 today. It made me extremely angry but then Portia slid it under the bathroom door and suggested I wipe with it! :-)

An excellent suggestion.

I'm not getting those phone calls either. I don't think they feel like spending the extra money to call Korea. Don't feel too bad.

You did the smart thing and left the country!

Cry me a river. We've been getting them, including an idiotic push-poll for Measure 36 telling us that if we vote NO, kindergarteners will be taught about gay marriage, and about how horrible it will be!!

At least we're Dems and not independents, who will get *everyone* calling them. At least a robot dialer won't give us a pitch from Dubya.

Our pre-kindergartner already knows about gay marriage, thanks! That's what I'd tell 'em.

I keep ditching calls--they even had Bush calling me! It was like a nightmare.

Is your number unlisted? Ours is listed, and holy jeebus am I getting hammered. It's mostly messages, though, no one calling to ask me anything. Or I'd give them what for.

It is unlisted, that could be the deal. I'm less jealous knowing that you're only getting computerized calls and not real people, though.

Did you already mail in your vote? I read that they take you off the call lists as soon as they receive your vote, since you are now worthless to them ;-P

I got a great one from some computerized bigots asking if I was worried about the school system teaching "the gay way of life" to school kids if 36 doesn't pass. Really wanted a live person at that point, if only to ask what the hell that means.

We also got a ton of calls after each debate, especially the first one.

And did I mention that I finally got jury duty?

Finally, the bitches want my attention!

Yes, you mentioned you got jury duty! I'm very jealous. *grin*

We've voted already yes indeedy, but we never got them before that either. I think it might be because our number is unlisted.

What do you mean, "receive your vote?"

If you mean that you tell them you're going to vote for/against a particular issue, then that makes sense.

I really hope you didn't mean "receive your vote" as in receiving an absentee ballot or something. I'd like to believe no one is dumb enough to think that the campaigns actually have access to that kind of information (ie: if, and when you voted.)
