I discovered this weekend that any drive over, say, an hour causes great sciatic pain that starts as a ping in my ass, and if ignored will snake it's way under my thigh until it wraps around my knee. If I don't stop and walk around for a few minutes at that point, I can expect my entire leg from thigh to toenails to cramp up like a motherfucker. This isn't a good thing to discover on a 6-8 hour drive. CJ was very good at watching the clock and telling me when to pull over and walk around.

In other news, I just threw up. Damned Caper's Cafe poisoned my lunch.

My right thigh/buttock always cramps up horribly when I ride in the car. I suspect that there's some major design flaw in most car seats. :P

My car has 129,000 miles on it - when I start looking for a new one, I will take a long test drive and get one with a decent seat.

It might be the back of the seat being lower than the front edge, which I've noticed in a lot of cars. I use a seat wedge pillow on long car trips and it helps a lot -- and it makes my back feel better too, even without my back support on. (This is good because I sweat under the support in warm weather and it itches.)

I'm going to have to look into this more. I don't like having to stop every hour.
