May. 13th, 2004 09:07 amWow, does this feel weird. Wonderful, but weird - posting from work! The bosses are all at boss-camp for the rest of the week, so I have little to do. Most of the other admins took the day off, but I don't have any PTO yet and hate to borrow against it, plus I get time to catch up.
My darling boy was sick sick sick this last week - started throwing up on Saturday, I called the doctor on Sunday and they said there was a nasty stomach virus going around, and to push fluids and wait it out. We would have done, but Tuesday he popped up a rash and a headache, too, so his Aunt Brandy decided to take him in (which the doctors office seconded). Turned out to be just a part of or reaction to the virus, but hey, meningitis is nothing to screw around with. He actually had lost a few pounds in the month since his yearly check up, which isn't surprising considering he hardly ate from Saturday to yesterday. As of last night though he went 24 hours or more w/o throwing up!
There continues to be relationship drama, of course, but it's nothing that we haven't been arguing about off and on for the last 14 years - only the focus changes. I love her dearly, but sometimes I get so frustrated I could just scream. That might be why I enjoy being at work; here I can be effective and competent.
