I wish this were the unabridged version; I'm sure the references to "naughty Americans" would have been very funny. I haven't read this since I was six, so it was fun to read again from a different perspective.

Hmmmm. I wonder which version I have. I'll have to check. That one's on my list for this year. :)

I didn't even realize the version I have was abridged until I started looking up scholarly sites and reviews of it. I don't know how many pages the un-cut version has.
