This sleep thing for the baby, especially afternoon nap, is getting horrible. Today I waited until I could tell he was really tired. Sat down, gave him the bottle, and he ate almost the whole 4 oz, eyes closed, looked and felt asleep....and then, his eyes opened, and it was like he was seeing a monster! He arched, and screamed, and couldn't be soothed. Pleeeeeeease tell me he'll grow out of this.

On a happier note, I made the 2nd cut and will be one of 5 people interviewed this week for the c:media job. I chose to be the last one interviewed; I know there is a theory of being either first or last but I couldn't remember which was better. They don't start higher than $35K but even $32/33 would be better than where I was. And there's no rule that says I can't keep testing for 911, too.

Heh. "Is this 911??" "No, it's...eh...912!"

and my period finally started.

It would be the one execpt it's not, if that makes any sense. The 5 they're down to meet with the CEO's current EA and the CA people are on speakerphone. Rats.

THEN they'll choose 3 to meet with the CEO herself.

Napping fluctuates. Ray will go for two days without having a daytime nap, to grabbing 20 minute power-naps in the car, to having four-hour naps every day. If there was a pattern, it's escaped my notice.

Someday, rememeber, they go away to college. And then we'll miss them.

Have you tried putting the baby down before he gets really tired? Sometimes they get overtired, which I know sounds ridiculous, but in my experience it does happen.

Both of our boys also did better if their feedings weren't so close to their nap times. I gather that's not the case with most babies, though.

E-mail me if you think I can help -- Brian just turned one, so all of this stuff is still pretty fresh in my mind.
